Guatemalan Black Beans
1 pound black beans
6-8 garlic cloves
2 medium onions, chopped
salt
12 servings
2 hours 15 minutes, 15 mins prep
1. In large kettle, cover beans with 2 inches water.
2. Add garlic.
3. Bring water to boil.
4. Turn fire down to soft boil and cover.
5. Cook 1 hour.
6. When beans are soft, add onions and salt and simmer one-half hour to an hour.
